" Leah Kardos is a composer, producer, arranger, pianist, PhD student and music technology lecturer working in Bedford, England.
Born and educated in Australia, Leah has been working in the UK since 2004 lecturing part-time in music technology and composition at Bedford College. When not teaching, her base of operations is Glory Box Studios, where she creates original soundtracks for film and media projects, in addition to her own contemporary classical, electronic and electroacoustic music. She is also completing her PhD in Music Composition, part-time, with the help of Dr. Robert Davidson at the University of Queensland. Her research looks at the unique creative opportunities available to composers working with music technology tools.
Her favourite composers include Shostakovich, Terry Riley, Gavin Bryars, John Tavener, Graham Fitkin and Clint Mansell. Her favourite pop artists are David Bowie, Bjork, Morrissey, Brian Eno, Aphex Twin and the Flaming Lips".
